Global Market: Japan bond yields ease as yen strength tempers BOJ tightening bets

Japanese government bond yields at the short end fell as a stronger yen reduced expectations of aggressive Bank of Japan rate hikes. The two-year yield dropped to 1.835%, while the five-year yield declined to 2.22%. Longer-term yields were mixed as investors weighed currency movements, fiscal spending and future BOJ policy.
